Scheduling your services through our maintenance team ensures that your boat gets winterized and covered before freezing temperatures arrive. Our dedicated professionals are ready to provide efficient and reliable services to meet all your needs.

When spring comes, we will get your boat ready for the beautiful summer months on the water. This includes all the requirements to get your boat out of storage and back on the water. We provide light or heavy mechanical work on a case-by-case basis. The cost to commission your boat is $140/hour and depends greatly on the size of your boat, the features of the boat, and how you stored it.

Spring Commissioning

Commissioning a boat involves preparing your boat for safe and reliable operation. It includes testing systems, checking and replacing fluids, and testing boat functionality. Key tasks involve engine inspection, battery charging, and safety gear checks.

Key Aspects of Boat Commissioning:

  • Engine & Mechanical: Inspecting for damage (e.g., rodent nests), checking fluid levels (oil, trim, gear), replacing impellers/spark plugs, and testing the engine with water flow.

  • Electrical & Plumbing: Charging and cleaning battery terminals, testing bilge pumps, lights, and water systems.

  • Safety & Hull: Checking fire extinguishers, life jackets, and flares. Inspecting zinc anodes and inspecting the hull.

  • Trailer Inspection: Checking tire pressure/cracks, bearing grease, and trailer lights.

    $140/hr + $25 shrink wrap disposal fee

Hull Washing

Boat hull washing involves removing scum, algae, zebra mussels, and stains using specialized cleaners and a heated power washer to thoroughly clean and rinse your boat’s hull.

$20/ft + $25 cleaning agent

Winterizing

Winterizing a boat involves protecting the engine and plumbing from freezing and corrosion. Key steps include draining all water from the engine block and cooling systems, circulating antifreeze, checking and changing gear lube, removing battery terminals, and covering for winter storage.

Shrink Wrap

Boat shrink wrap is a durable, heat sealed polyethylene covering used for winter storage to protect boats from snow, rain, and UV rays. It typically lasts for one season (1 year UVI protection), creating a tight, waterproof barrier that sheds snow and prevents mold.
